  Organize Your Workspace

Make it easier on yourself. As long as you have to study, you might as well do it in an environment that will allow you to sit down and get right to work.

  • Set aside a place for homeworkand nothing but homework. The place you choose doesnt have to be a separate room. A desk, a quiet place, a local library, or a kitchen table can all be excellent places to study as long as they are places where you can focus on your work.

  • Eliminate distractions like the radio, television, games, or anything else that may keep you from concentrating.

  • Discuss with your family some ways in which they might help you to complete your homework. Explain that you need your workspace to be quiet and free from interruptions. By talking it over, they will be more willing to provide you with needed privacy.

  • Set up your workspace. Does it have adequate light? Do you have access to the books, pens, paper, and other resources you may need? Do you have a comfortable chair?

  • Use this workspace every day.

  • Set aside a regular time every day for concentrating on your homework
