qimage.gif (1004 bytes)What is emulation?
aimg.gif (1009 bytes)Emulation is the ability for the computer to 'act' like another computer or device, just as if you were using that computer or device.  There are many types of emulation for the Amiga and it is now getting popular for other computers as well.  You can emulate anything from a Commodore 64,Macintosh , x86 PC, to the Atari and Sega Genesis on the Amiga.

qimage.gif (1004 bytes)Now what do I do with it?
aimg.gif (1009 bytes)One of the best reasons to have an emulator working in your Amiga, is so that you can do work from the another platform at home. It's these SOMETIMES tasks that you will do, that will make an Emulator worth it. I got mine because I want to learn other OS's. The what to do is endless, and will depend on your experiences with Emulation.

qimage.gif (1004 bytes)Can I run All software?
aimg.gif (1009 bytes)NO, you will never be able to run 100% of emulated system software. There are too many occasions where program designers used code that taps the original hardware.

qimage.gif (1004 bytes)What can I get from the Internet?
aimg.gif (1009 bytes)You can get tons of resources from the Internet. Lots of software and even OS ROM downloads are available from the Internet. It's amazing.

qimage.gif (1004 bytes)How can I make my emulation faster?
aimg.gif (1009 bytes)The easiest thing to do, is have your emulator as the only program running on the Amiga.  Closing anything you don't need will help, and if you can live with it, reduce the palette. There is also a patch you can get from Aminet, and maybe soon in our Pharmacy that will speed your up your emulation.
