New version on its way |
Hello All,
Just to let you all know that a new version of the Sid4Amiga package is
currently being worked upon. Encouraged by the latest happenings in the
Amiga market (and my order of one of the first batches of the Amiga One
mother board) I have started work once again.
The new version will contain the following :
 Reverb - 10 presets with variable return levels.
A new PlaySid emulation library for use with Delitracker, PlaySid etc..
An updated GUI for the new reverb settings. (Mixing desk)
Bug fixes and a reworked library.
Beta testers are required - if you can help then please contact me!

Reverb Routines |
Within the next week you will be able to download a
new beta copy of the CLI version of Sid4Amiga.
The new version
will let you experiment with the new reverb routines so you can add
a bit of atmosphere to the good old sid sound! The system requires
a fast PPC for real time reverb (my 240mhz 603 system is
fine for the job).
So while I clear up the remaining bugs jump to the
downloads page and compare the two
mp3's - both of which were produced with Sid4Amiga.

V3.28 has some additional little features and inlcludes even
fewer bugs! Note: These versions can be MLINK'ed with the
MLINK function within the MMU.library package for memory
protected executables.
Small changes include iconfy icons and Workbench startup for associated
files. |

It appears that most people are happy with Sid4Amiga at the moment.
A new version is on the cards, but will not be available to everyone.
Starting from the next version a keyfile will be needed to unlock the new
Features of S4A. I have already recieved some donations and these people
are shown in the brand new Hall of Fame.
If you do use S4A a lot please consider a donation and you will recieve a keyfile by email.
The next version will certainly have: Recursive 'Directory Loading', Increased Mixer Presets, A Bonus CLI MpegA player which uses the S4A preferences and the MPEGA library and a choice of OS3.5, Original and New Icons.

V3.16r4 Released!!! |
Fast Play Bug fix and working Reset Mixer settings.
This is the last in the V3.16 series. I suggest everyone upgrades to this version.

Bug fixes here there and everywhere + a couple of additional features.
PLEASE could everyone use the supplied Installer from now on. I've hopefully
fixed problems that some people had with it. If it does cause problems please note down
the error message and at which part of the install you were at and email me. Ok.
Now go and download it!

The new version is coming on well. Beta testing
is drawing to a close and you will soon be able to download
Version 3. Take a look at the screen shots here to see how
far Sid4Amiga has come. PlaySid anyone? ;)
