Amiga World: Page Info

These pages are created in HTML 3.2 code, because it looks good on most browsers, especially on those available for the Amiga. They do not contain backgrounds: Loading them takes a long time and the page looks bad on displays which use a only few colours or are black and white: Sometimes you can`t get the information of the pages because you can`t read anything (black pen on black backround ;)

AmigaWorld "speaks" nine languages, so why this Homepage only "speaks" English? The answer is that it seems nearly impossible to keep all translations exactly at the same level -- some parts are more up-to-date in one language, other parts in another language. Creating and maintaining a homepage in one language is work enough. But don`t hang loose, there are introductions in different languages which is a good way to show AmigaWorld's abilibty to "speak" more than one language.

"One picture could explain more than thousand words". Yes, but one picture often has more bytes than thousand words, so it takes a long time and lots of money to get some pages :(. This is the reason why we hardly use pictures and minimize them. On the other hand it is very boring to look at thousands of words. This is the reason why we use the necessesary pictures :)
