resources & technical support: /home/23 way d to vga monitor cable

To make this cable, you will need a 23 Way female D type (Available from Maplin Electronics) socket.

If you are connecting to a VGA monitor which has an attached lead, with a 15
way high density D type male connector (plug) on one end, you will need a 15
way high density D type female connector (socket) and a short length of good
quality screened 6 core (or more) cable.

If you are making a lead to connect directly from the Amiga's video socket to
the monitor, you will need a 15 way high density D type male connector (plug)
and a good length of high quality 6 core (or more) screened cable suitable for
30 Khz video.

Bare in mine that most of the Amiga's video modes only sync @ 15khz.

So you will either need a multi-sync monitor or a scan doubler (available from most Amiga retailers)
or a monitor that will sync down to 15Khz as most monitors will only sync-down to 31Khz.
